A Guide to Staff Optimization

The protagonist is an office worker in a gray suit. Her life is ruled by a giant red LED counter showing 100,000. Her daily work is mechanically typing, tearing paper, and stamping. In this cold building, the air carries only heavy breathing and the clash of metal. She is like a battery being slowly drained by the system. The protagonist picks up an AI chip flickering with blue electric light. Instantly, the office undergoes a surreal automated mutation; efficiency erupts exponentially. The counter collapses madly and instantly returns to zero. With the "mission complete" command, the protagonist steps into a gate full of light. She transforms into a celebrity in a golden gown. Amid snowflakes formed from flying paperwork, she enjoys top-tier service from ox-head and horse-face attendants, eats glowing steak, and drinks never-ending champagne. She believes she has won freedom through AI and entered her dream life. At the peak of the revelry, the protagonist falls out of the illusion and plunges into a pitch-dark new office. Here there is no champagne, only even more endless work. A robotic arm clamps her neck; a blue collar lights up, its glow exactly like that of the chip. Under the robots' supervision, she becomes a part again.
